The problem
Remixes and covers get muted, blocked, or pulled because licensing is nobody's job.
Publishers won't answer an unknown artist. Distributors take your upload, collect their fee, then hand you the takedown notice weeks later. So the best remixes of the year stay stuck on private links and reposts.
GripDistro exists for exactly one reason: to make the licensing our job instead of yours.
How it works
Get approved, then upload
GripDistro is application-only. Once you're in, you upload the release and clarify exactly which original you're remixing or covering — track, artist, version. Precision here is what makes the rest possible.
We pay the licenses in full
Mechanical, master, whatever the release needs. We front the cost ourselves, clear it with the rights holders, and send the release out to stores and streaming platforms.
Royalties recoup, then 90% is yours
We retain royalties only until the license fees we spent are covered. From that point on, you keep 90% of everything and we keep 10%. No monthly fee, no per-release fee on top.
You see the fee before you upload.
License fees start at $9 and depend on the original work and the platforms you're releasing to. We quote you the exact number first, so you know from the start how much has to recoup before royalties start flowing to you.
You never pay us directly. We recoup only from the royalties the release itself earns — and after that we take 10%.

Remixes and covers only
We're specialists, not a catch-all distributor. That focus is what lets us clear licenses other services won't touch.
We take
- Remixes of released, commercially available tracks
- Cover songs, including reworked arrangements
- Extended edits and flips where the original is credited
- Multi-track remix EPs, as long as every source is declared
We don't
- Fully original songs — we're not a general distributor
- Bootlegs where you can't name the original
- Releases built on uncleared, unreleased leaks
- Anything using samples you're hiding from us
